--- The circle is unbound, and they couldn't be more distant from each other. But even though Eben is gone it doesn't mean that it is over for the circle. Adam has gone off the rails, the influence of the dark crystal skull having its sway over him in terrifying ways. Cassie is trying to adjust to her life independently, but she finds that in ways she is fighting a losing battle; by herself. The balance between good and evil has hit a riff, where an imbalance has been set since the circle was unbound. Faye and Melissa have changed, and not in a good way. Faye's free spirit has changed Melissa, both witches subjecting themselves to excessive personal gain while Melissa starts to become gloomy and angry, and Faye's feelings for Jake get stronger. Not to mention Diana and Grant, off and away and out of sight.
How many demons can you contain in one man? Dawn Chamberlain used her magics to bind Charles and the demons he absorbed from Eben, but it isn't working. Her intentions were to protect the circle, but the demons are slowly breaking through her spell. Maybe white magic can't overpower good. Charles is building with power, and he will break. Along with that, more problems are brewing when something is creeping around Chance Harbor High, causing deaths and damage. But what is it? Can the circle stick together long enough to find out and help their school, or will they remain apart and the good they could accomplish left to nothing.
Ocean Grove, New York City:
--- Roughly sixteen years ago, a powerful witch came to Ocean Grove, possessed with many powerful water demons in the hopes of eliminating the Ocean Grove circle and their children in a quest for power and domination, who were known themselves for having the capabilities to manipulate water to their advantage. The twelve circle members at that time, went to battle with this powerful witch, inspired by John Blackwell to do so in order to protect their children from harm. Out of the twelve circle members, only five of them survived, with Blackwell believed to have drowned in the battle. A bind was cast over their children's magic in order to contain it and protect them from this witch ever coming after them for it, as they would be a threat as a bound circle.
Sixteen years later, and Hayden was the sixth member of the circle arriving in Ocean Grove in order to complete and bind the circle, as a result of his mother realizing that the charm put over their children's magic was broken by someone, leading them back to where it all started for answers. It wasn't long before Hayden became affiliated with the other five children and soon learned of their potential as a bound circle. In binding the circle however, they became the direct threat against this powerful witch possessed by water demons, seeking their own powers. In a desperate near-death attempt, Hayden unleashed powerful magic which held back the witch, soon after learning of his dark magic and Balcoin decendance. The witch was finally defeated, but not without the help of the parents, the circle magic and two dark magic brothers, in Hayden and Dean. But with Alex's father now dead in the battle, he is now clouded with vengeance and hate; Hayden further consumed by the potential of dark magic and learning of his father; Dean adjusting to everything that has happened; Zach of feeling incompetent compared to the others; Shoshana of wanting everyone to stick together again; and Eva of wanting her own identity through powerful magic.
Odessa, Texas:
--- In the country life in Odessa, there are six kids that you would never think of being together as a whole, and having the power that they hold. Karma, an ordinary cheerleader with a friendly personality and a strong mind finds that she is a witch, or at least half of a witch. Finding that her father isn't her real father, she finds she is a witch an appart of a local circle who are Necromancers; witches with the dominion over the dead; of the Order of Osiris. With this, Karma is a sixth that completes a circle of Necromancing witches. One of them is her best friend; Dylan who is a witch with the gifts of a medium, and is a very bitchy girl. There is the quirky kid Thatcher and along with him is his big brother; John who is the studly country boy who catches Karma's eye. Next is the gifted Keira, the nicest girl you would ever know and having the powers of a psychic and finally the cold and closed-off Bradley.
Necromancy is the power to control the dead, but once the circle is activated something else is going on in Odessa. When the dead start to rise, it is predicted to be the circle's fault and they must stop these zombies rising from the grave. But the question is if it is actually the circle's fault or someone elses? Having this ability is a rare and coveted power, and now demons and scavengers are coming to Odessa on a pursuit of power. They want this gift, and whatever else they can gain from the witches. But what they might not encounter is a strong and powerful bond between the witches and also, a Balcoin Witch. Also in Odessa, the underground transactions of Devil's Spirit is happening. Since Bradley is affiliated with it, it is dangerous business to be in with a lot of addict witches and humans in the town.
