|| backstory ||

powers/skills/abilities:

• Telepathy – Keira can speak in people’s minds and hear thoughts of those around her. She is ethical though and doesn’t pry needlessly. She often uses it to talk to her family though and it comes in handy if the circle needs a place to relax like her uncle’s restaurant.
  
• Precognition – She has glimpses of the future which she uses to help people as best she can. While she knows no ones future is set in stone she likes to prevent harm to others when possible. She does this to try and balance the necromantic power of her circle. She cannot, however, see her own future.
  
• Circle Magic – She is in a bound circle which prevents her from using her magic outside of it. Secretly she is glad of this because it creeps her out that they can raise the dead. She does not see this as a good thing and while she does want to learn how to use her magic she is aware of its consequences.
  
  

strengths:

• Sweet and kind – Keira is the girl most people like because she is fun loving, intelligent and loves people. She sees the good in everyone and keeps her head in times of stress or worry. Her first thought is of the circle and she will die to protect it if need be. She wouldn’t ever hurt anyone but if she had to step in front of someone to protect them, she would.
  
• Resources – She’s a computer nerd with mad skills. If she doesn’t know it, her family probably does and the bar her uncle owns is always a good place to learn the local gossip or if demons are about. She’s very careful to sort out the valid facts from fiction before she presents her findings.
  
• Level Headed – It’s rare to find her flustered and even rarer to see her scared. After all she raises the dead. She can’t be afraid of zombies now can she? She’d be the first to double tap a zombie back to being dead if it looked at her cross-eyed and she could do it without batting an eyelash. Nerves of steel is weak this girl has nerves of titanium.
  
• Good with Plants – She knows her herbalore and how to make poultices and healing droughts with her home brews. Usually this only helps minimize injuries but when it comes right down to it the girl just has a green thumb and loves nature.
  
• Good with Magic – No one studies as hard as she does. Her dedication and focus is one of those things that few have at 16. She makes sure to know a spell inside and out before she casts it and makes darn certain everyone else does too!
  
• Marksmanship – Keira knows how to use a gun and is a dead shot with it. If this was the wild west she’d be a gunslinger she’s so good. She figures this comes in handy for double tapping zombies if she needs to. She’s seen them in the flesh and is not gonna let them creep her out and turn her into some scream queen.
  

weaknesses:

• Thatcher – She’d go to hell to rescue him, literally. She would die for him and when it comes to him anyone that threatens him has her over a barrel. They can blackmail her into doing things she would not normally do. Just to keep him safe.
  
• Naive – She wants to see the best in folks and often will tell herself that the things she picks up are not as bad as they really are; Case in point, Alice. Alice wouldn’t really hurt her now would she? This thinking could get her killed if she isn’t careful and can certainly be used by others to their advantage.
  
• Sickly – The child works so much for others she rarely thinks to take care of herself. She’s got allergies, asthma and seems to catch every bug that comes down the pipeline. Breathe funny and she has a cold. Even allergy shots and flu shots seem not to help. To top it off, excessive use of her psychic abilities gives her nose bleeds and migraines.
  
• Low Self Esteem – While she may be nice and like everyone secretly she sees herself as the weakest member of her circle. She always makes excuses for why she’s not as pretty as this person or that person and really deep down doesn’t have confidence. An observant person can see this a mile away.
  
• Gossip – Lordy that girl can gossip with the best of them. She knows everything and while she does keep the circle secrets she generally knows all the things going on and will babble nonstop if you let her. She can’t really help it with her low self-esteem and her need to be liked.
  

likes:

• Thatcher – He’s her best friend and secretly she wishes he was more but she’s too shy to ever speak up and tell him that. She spends most of her time trying to get up the courage to talk to him but usually babbles like an idiot around him cause she likes him so much.
  
• Animals – She loves em all. Dogs, Cats, Ferrets you name it she loves it. She seems to have cat hair on her perpetually but doesn’t care cause her pets are like family to her. Even if she is allergic to cats and won’t admit it they are her babies.
  
• The Circle – Not everyone in it likes her but she would die to protect the circle if she had to. She’s probably the hardest worker bee in the group and doesn’t mind taking orders from Karma. And she would definitely take orders from Thatcher if he could get two words out because she thinks he’s gorgeous.
  

dislikes:

• Onions –She’s allergic. This makes it hard to find some foods she can eat since they seem to be in everything. She’s very cautious with food because onions make her go into anaphylactic shock if she accidently ingests them.
  
• Bitchy people. She’s not gonna tolerate being talked down to and will probably bristle a bit at being fussed at. She dislikes Dylan because she is a bossy know it all and tries her best not to lose her temper at her when the girl goes off on some snotty streak.
  
• Liars – Liars piss her off and it might be one of the few times you see her lose her temper. When working with the undead you can’t afford to lie to people because trust is essential if you’re going to survive an impending zombie apocalypse.
  

history:

Keira comes from a long line of psychics. Powerful in their own right, the Donnovans were driven out of Ireland during the potato famine in 1848 because they seemed to have a habit of knowing what was going to happen to others and reading their thoughts. This was seen as evil and they were driven off. They settled in Odessa because it was the only town that didn’t run them out within three months of their arrival.

Given this unique family history its amazing Keira has turned out as well as she has. Her mother, being very fond of the movie the Dark Crystal gave her her name because she hoped she would do good things and be loved by everyone. Keira did alright. She seems to have a way with animals much like her namesake and finds it amusing she was named after a muppet. Growing up with such an eccentric family has made her very accepting of others and more prone to studying as she tries to back up and verify the facts she can at times get from peoples brains. She’s not doing this on purpose and she works really hard not to but sometimes when she talks to people what they think pops in her head.

She’s had a crush on Thatcher for forever. She doesn’t think he likes her back but she just likes being around him because he makes her feel happy. She makes a big deal of listening to Taylor Swift songs because they mostly remind her of herself and she can relate to being the shy awkward girl. She knows she has her flaws but she loves life and tries to be a good person when it comes to helping folks out. The circle gave her a purpose and it’s a way to be close to Thatcher. She hopes to help do some good in the world and help her family if she can.

Keira wanted to take the hair net off her head so bad it took everything she had to keep it in place while she served food at the local shelter. She made a point of doing this every Saturday because she wanted to help folks that were going through hard times during the recession. It also helped that her family tended to donate leftovers here instead of throwing them out in the trash. Her uncle tended to look the other way when she passed out a grab bag for some random homeless person but she saw it as giving blessings where she could.

Smiling to the person in front of her she scooped out more mashed potatoes and glanced at the clock. She had an hour to go before she was done and then she was hanging out with Thatcher and the circle. She wanted to squee like a girl but stopped herself as she could tell not everyone was in as good a mood as she was. She forced herself to focus and tried to not think about the people’s problems here too much. There was an elderly Vietnam vet, a banker who had been fired eight months ago and lost his house and lots of kids and babies. They always hurt her worst because they didn’t do anything to deserve the crap economy. She made sure that the next person in front of her got a warmer smile. He was depressed and it seemed to cheer him up a bit as she stood there in the heat of the kitchen with sweat trickling down her back.

One day things would get better for folks. She’d do all she could to make people smile in the meantime. As the clock clicked to let her know she was off shift she changed and washed her hands. She was headed to go have some fun and see Thatcher. The day was going to be fantastic.

--- It's a good app, but a few more adjustments need to be made. In the history, you have it written that Keira comes from psychic witches but she is however part psychic and part witch, her father was a Necromancer and her mother was a psychic, thus her uncle Jimmy being a psychic too.
--- Also, in the powers you listed her 'Resources' as a power, but really it is a strength if anything. Powers are there to define supernatural capabilities, not for skills.
--- If you make these little adjustments, then you should be fine :)
