GENERAL:

RIGHT NOW.. ONLY CANON CHARACTERS ARE BEING ACCEPTED.
You should already know this, but being polite to other members on the board is the best way to make yours and other members time on this board more enjoyable. No one likes a bully, so if you don’t like someone; shut up.

Board is a PG+13 rp. Sure some characters are older, and people have relationship and their is swearing and such. But keep it civil, don’t have horrible death scenes and excessive swearing. Don’t make swearing a second language, and remember that other’s see what you type

No racial discrimination. For those who have that disrespect with other ethnic groups or nationalities, we don’t want to hear about it. So keep it to yourself okay ?

Sexual Discrimination is not needed. You are who you are, no need to bully anyone for who they are. If your gay, good for you. No negativity thanks.

If you are oppinionated or just plain cruel, keep it too yourself. If you start an arguement, it might not be seen by the admin but it can make people not like you, which can make it hard for you on this board. You need others to rp, but if they don’t like you it is likely they will not rp with you.

Keeping active is good, because it effects more people then just you. If you don’t come online without a reason or warning for the max of two weeks, then your accounts will be deleted. So keep involved with what is going on, keep threads up and you will have a great time here on ‘Mystique’.

Patience is a good quality, and who wants to rp with a complainer. If you are waiting for a reply, be patient. Don't pressure people, don't nag and don't be a pest. Real life comes before RP life. Whether that be waiting for replies or if the site is undergoing maintenance or technical issues.

No body likes someone too serious, nobody likes someone completely stupid, so act the way you should. We encourage mucking around with fellow rpers, but going over board or just being annoying is not the best way to get through the site to upgrades and such. So keep cool, relax and enjoy the ride.

RP RULES:

The most frustaiting thing with rping is if spelling or grammar problems are there, because it can make what you are saying make no sense at all. So the spell check icon and even just looking over or proof reading your work is beneficial.

You are not god. If you post, you cannot make any responses or actions of such of the other player. You can control yourself but not others. Some instances that are small can pass, especially with fighting threads but you must wait for the others to make there move then you making there move.

Patience is appreciated, and posting just after you just did on the same thread is not liked. But most commonly this will occur with many tagged threads and you must go in a posting pattern and not skip characters, because it can make people very angry.

With character application and writing posts for threads, be precise and specific with what you are writing. This is done with good wording and descriptive techniques to make it be visual or easy to be imagined. Practicing this will make you a very effective rper.

Writing precisely and sophisticated in threads is the best way to get all you want out of rping experiences. Big, solid paragraphs with descriptive writing and imaginative writing using both speech and explanatory techniques to write good writings.

If you are wanting to tag others into threads, make sure you respect them and inform them of approval before including them. It can annoy those who might not have the time and make you feel left out, just because you didn’t follow a rule.

Sure, things happen when people get together. That is what the ‘Mature’ board is for, but if put in other threads it will be removed. Sure it seems harsh but guest and members all see what’s on the board, and we don’t want to give them the impression that this site is a brothel.

With signatures or images of your ‘pb’, please know that we don’t want to see them naked. Girls, bikinis are the limit. With guys, top half can be bare but nothing else. No pubic or private regions can be shown, or accounts will be deleted.

You can only have ONE playby per character. This can not be changed at all unless for big reasons. But this is the face of your character, and it can only be of celebrities. Someone people know, such as Hollywood stars or other famous people. Even models.
We all have flaws or our pros and cons. So make sure that you are like everyone else, and have some flaws and some good things too. Pass; witch.. yeah right Nobody is a god and all good, so be realistic and show each side of your character.

It is a often minds and wonder from fact to fiction. Since the sight is fiction, it is not complete laddie-da. So keep some realism with it, so it is not too far-fetched. It is better that way, because it is not only about super powered people and good verses evil, but the lives of teenagers or officials.

You can have up to 5 characters. In order to get another, you have to have 20 rp posts on your previous character in order to get another. But it is better to not put on too much for yourself. But 5 is the limit if you are up for it, and permission must be asked to the admin in order to obtain a canon character.

If you want, you can drop any character you want. If you aren’t feeling it, and you don’t like portraying your character, you post into the DROPPED CHARACTER LIST and the admins will drop it for you. This also means that you might be eligible for another character, one you feel more comfortable with.

All characters can have plots, and a story in this universe. But in order to make it into the site, you must firstly consult with the admins for approval and make a thread where people can join before making the actual rp thread. Planning is the only way to go, and they are very much appreciated.

With making a characters personality, make it an okay one. Even if it is a diva, a nerd or even an evil villain, make them have some kind of a reasonable or appealing personality
