She shoudl be used to it. The pealing paint, boarded windows and the strength of rotting wood. Ahh, just like the house. Except their was one difference; this house was being resided by demons. It seemed that Eben just couldn't help himself, and now demons were seeming to be roaming over Chance Harbor. Nothing can be fixed can it? It seemed that reminders were just being chucked at her everyday. Waking up in an empty house, getting postcards from Diana as she embarks on a long journey as far from Chance Harbor as possible. Away from her family. Cassie almost wanted to give up, but she had to do something. Jake was no where to be seen tonight, and Adam was just - different. Faye and Melissa were off doing god knows what and it was up for this little blonde to check out this situation, maybe kill a few demons if she was lucky. So she stood at the proch steps, looking up and trying see some sign of movement. Super creepy here, she couldn't wait to see inside.
The front door unlocked as Cassie took the steps up onto the premises. She was slow and cautious, like always, and just waited for everything to go iffy. The boards creaked, but after quickly looking around the front of the house with a glance, she stepped inside. A stentch of death hit her nose as her hand cupped over it, trying to block the smell. These were not some harmless demons, they had killed someone. Looking down, feeling like she was going to vomit, she saw blood smeared over the floor and up the staircase. Just a little look, that's all. "Oh - oh my god". She had seen dead bodies before, but never caught such a smell. She could really use some help now, but then as she closed the door quietly, she prepared to go up stairs. She could protect herself - at least in theory. She hadn't faced demons in months, it was about time she tried again. But as she took the first step, she heard her car alarm. Something had hit it, and it began wailing as loud as it could. It scared the shit out of Cassie as she gasped, before quickly heading to the nearest window.
Looking at the car, just by raising her hand the alarm turned off. Strange. Was someone trying to break in, or was someone maybe trying to make sure she was trying to get caught. As she looked at the car, breathing heavily she slowly turned back to the stairs, but she wasn't alone anymore. Three demons stood and glared at her. They were boys, cute boys and even though shirtless, have blood over them in blotches. If Faye was here, she would be in a nightmare-version of heaven. Cassie looked at them worriedly until she heard the demonic voice of one of them with a smirk on their face. "Balcoin....." Cassie looked from each of them, feeling her heart racing as she tried to keep it together. "We've been waiting".
