|| backstory ||

powers:

• Being a witch grants him all of the standard powers which come with his line, such as; telekinesis, weather manipulation, fire starting, mind manipulation and more. As a bound circle, his powers are only stronger when he is with other circle members.
  
  
• Having Balcoin blood in his veins grants him far superior power than that of a regular witch. He can do just about anything he wishes with his mind, such as; time travel or even choking someone. He is also able to perform individual magic, despite being a bound circle.
  

strengths:

• Pretty Boy Appearence. Hayden is far from 'rough around the edges.' He is always very presentable in appearence. His clothes are always neat, whether that be his shirts tucked into his trousers, or his ironed shirts and trousers. But don't let this appearence fool you, because he isn't just any pretty boy. He can hold his own quite well.
  
  
• Dark Magic. Hayden possesses Balcoin blood in his veins, therefore making him considerably stronger than an average witch. And he isn't afraid of using his dark magic, either.
  
  
• Physically Fit. He does enjoy keeping himself in great shape, mainly to maintain his good appearence, but also because he enjoys being healthy, and it definantly helps him when playing sport to be well prepared.
  
  
• Confidence. Hayden is extremely capable and strong in the charisma department. He has confidence in who he is, and what he believes, and won't let people tell him otherwise. He isn't afraid of speaking out or talking to a complete stranger.
  
  
• Determination. He is rather strong-willed. There isn't much people can say or do to stop him from acting a certain way, because he prides himself in his beliefs. When he sets his mind on something, there is very little turning back.
  
  
• Natural Charm. He is able to whirm in the ladies with no difficulties at all, mainly because he knows all the right things to say to them. Even when meeting him for the first time, he has a certain innocence about him which makes him adorable. To those he wants to be adorable to, of course.
  
  
• Financially Well Off. Isn't this being in the 'strengths' category obvious enough? Money brings happiness, even to Hayden. He is able to buy nice clothes, accessories and expensive things for girls which make them want him more. Life is grand, really.
  
  
• Seductive. Like his natural charm, Hayden knows the right things to say to get what he wants. If he wants a girl, he knows how to get her in just purely from his words. He has a real 'sexy' tone in the back of his voice which he has been complimented on numerous times.
  
  
• Physically Strong. Hayden regularly plays football. He also works out regularily, and does boxing classes in his free time. Lets just say this young man knows how to throw a mean right hook!

weaknesses:

• Fear of Rejection. Hayden likes everything about him being perfect, and therefore he can't stand being rejected, for whatever reason. Being rejected shows him that he isn't good enough, and needs to improve, somehow.
  
  
• Perfectionist. Everything has to be right, for Hayden. His clothes, his hair, the date with the girl, his class notes. Everything. He cannot stand anything being out of order or sloppy. It really tends to frustrate him a little too much.
  
  
• Uncontrollable Anger. Although nobody has witnessed this side of him, he does have a side of him which is extremely aggressive and unpredictable and uncontrollable. It takes a lot to really get him angry.
  
  
• Being One of the Crowd. Although sometimes Hayden dislikes the things he does, he feels like if he does something out of social order, he'll be an outcast and his friends won't accept him because of it. He feels he needs to maintain a certain degree of 'rudeness' in order to maintain the popular lifestyle.
  
  
• Recklessness. He does tend to underestimate people or situations at hand, therefore just jumps in without thinking too much about the repucussions.

likes:

• Trust. He likes being able to trust someone so much, and have the same kind of thing in return. He doesn't feel like anyone really has his back entirely, and this is slightly depressing. He wants someone who he can open up to, and trust that they won't care.
  
  
• Power. He enjoys having magic, and powerful magic at that. He likes what it can do to people and how he can have so much fun with it.
  
  
• Working Hard. He wants to make something of himself and have a good name, therefore puts 110% into everything he does. As he is a perfectionist, things have to be perfect.
  
  
• Nice Clothes. This is how he makes his first impression on people, and deems this as the same that he would expect from them. He doesn't like people who dress sloppy, and takes the same into consideration when dressing himself. Nice clothes make him feel adequate.
  
  
• Parties. He enjoys hanging out with friends at bars, or even house parties. Its a perfect way to meet other people, and just socialise and kick back. He deserves that, doesn't he?
  
  
• Sex. He loves the thrill of it, and the amazing sensations that surge through his body. It is an amazing experience, especially with someone worthwhile.
  
  
• Cars. He does generally enjoy talking about cars and looking at them, but he also enjoys working on them. He enjoys driving around as well, and enjoys showing off his car to the ladies.
  
  
• Drinking. He enjoys going a bit 'wild' but generally doesn't overdo it to the stage when he makes a fool of himself.
  
  
• Music. Who could survive without music? He loves listening to it, even singing to it when no one else is around, of course. Music is a gateway to the soul, as he likes to think of it.

dislikes:

• Bad Attitudes. He doesn't like people who give him attitude or are rude towards him. Do they just have no respect for who he is, or something?
  
  
• He doesn't like the thought of losing to someone else, as he likes to be good at everything he does. He is a sore loser, basically.
  
  
• Assumptions about Him. People seem to assume that just because he hangs out with the 'cool' crowd, that he is thick-headed, and stupid. That is far from the truth, and he would love nothing more than to prove that to the doubters.
  
  
• Responsibility. He dislikes being the 'man' of the house, not because he has to look after his mother, but because he has that added responsibility to act more mature where he can't always enjoy the things most teens his age do. He hates being thrust into this responsibility because his father isn't around, and hates when people look to him for responsibility because he prefers contributing but not leading.
  
  
• Negative People. He doesn't enjoy people who bring others down with their mood swings, or just negative vibes or pessimistic views. If they aren't going to enjoy their own lives, they have no right to ruin the enjoyment for others' lives, as well.
  
  
• Rejection. He believes he shouldn't in anyone's right mind be rejected, but like anything, it happens. He just isn't willing to accept, nor like that fact. Why would people want to reject him?

history:
Unknown to him until now, Hayden was born in Ocean Grove, where he was raised for a short amount of time before his mother and he moved to Eastbury. He was told his father died in a car accident after he ran off the road when he collided with another car. His mother told him that his father was a good man, and was a very skilled artist, which he did for a living. Other than that, his mother wouldn't speak about his family too much, and this always bothered Hayden but he just assumed that it was difficult for her to talk about because she probably still missed him and hated being alone. He respected her feelings, so never really pressed them too much.

He went to well off school in Eastbury as a result of his mother having a good job as a doctor there, where he almost immediately made a few friends of the good crowd, who were equally as good at schoolwork as they were at having fun. As he moved on, he did play football at the school, where he begun to shift into the more popular crowd. He wasn't the type to embrace the popularity, but he did like the people he was hanging out with, as awkward as they could be at times. He wasn't the best footballer, but it was a hobby he enjoyed, along with sketching, which kept his mind focused and not on what could've been. He wanted to do sketching because it was something that his father did, and he wanted to follow in his footsteps in many ways and be a great artist like he was, because he enjoyed sketching. And he was good at it, so chose electives based more around media and art whenever possible. He wasn't the most academic, and tried avoiding as much extra-curricular work as he could.

His homelife was good, his mother and he had a good relationship and being the only family, their bonds grew tighter together. She was like a good friend of his, he could talk to her about things, or most things anyway, as he couldn't speak of the past too much as it hurt. Though in saying that, he enjoyed his own time as much as anything, usually going out with friends. He lost most of these friends in the move, after an accidental pipe breaking incident occured, flooding the school. He remembered being shoved to the ground by one of the annoying guys on the team, and remembered getting angry and then seeing flames begin to engulf a bin nearby, leading to many of the equipment also going up in flames. After telling his mother, she insisted that they go and get a fresh start somewhere in another town and school. He didn't think much of it at the time, but the mystery as to how the fire started still bugged him. He didn't always like fresh starts, because although he occasionally would keep in contact with his closest friends, not being able to physically hang out with them put a strain on it all.

Moving to this new area and school was difficult for him, but he was soon made known to five other students; zach, dean, eva, shoshana and Alex, who unknown to him at that point were actually witches and he was also. He soon learned of his potential after these five announced it to him, and he found it difficult to handle at first and believe, also. He soon came around when he realized first hand what they were saying was true, and he felt it when he instinctively used magic. It was at this point in time he realized that he was the cause of the pipes breaking and flooding the school, and his mother obviously knew about this too. He didn't confront her directly, instead searching through her possessions to find his family's book of shadows, which helped him understand a lot about his family linerage, of the spencers. But there was nothing about his father mentioned, which made him curious.

After nearly being killed by a witch hunter who had come to town now that they were a bound circle, he used individual magic to escape and help the others, and they soon explained to him that he had dark magic in his blood and how dangerous it was. He finally went to his mother, demanding answers. She finally explained to him that she knew who he was all along, because she was as well. After a traumatic event, all of the surviving parents agreed to bind the children's powers so that they would never use them and get hurt. However when he used magic to bust the pipes and flood the school, she had realized someone had lifted this spell, putting her child at risk. He also learned that his father wasn't who he thought he was and that she was trying to protect him from his father, who was John Blackwell, a fierce decendant of the Balcoins, practitioners of dark magic. He had that same dark magic in his veins.

Having ocean like abilities, the circle soon realized that there was more than their parents were letting on about a tragic event which occured when they were only children. The parents fought a powerful witch possessed by water demons at the beach in a huge battle which resulted in many casualties after Blackwell had inspired the witches that defeating this demon was the only way to protect their children. The circle then learned that there was another Balcoin sire in the circle, and after witnessing Dean using individual magic, he realized he had a half-brother.
